Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Identify goods subject to anti-dumping and/or countervailing measures
  2. Determine dumping elements
  3. Advise clients on anti-dumping and countervailing legislation

Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and include:

advising clients about their obligations in regard to duty assessment

advising clients on the impact/considerations of penalty legislation

advising clients on the operation/aspects of the Australian anti-dumping and countervailing system

calculating dumping export price (DXP)

ensuring currency of relevant legislative and regulatory knowledge

identifying exempt goods and suppliers

identifying inclusive goods and suppliers

identifying relevant country of export

preparing duty assessments

reading and interpreting appropriate Acts and regulations.
